J-Rock Fridays Vol. 40

March 4, 2011

For your listening pleasure.

sakanaction- “Rookie”

Always a good day when sakanaction drops a new PV. Get plenty of rest so you don’t see dead people!

Gellers- “Guatemala”

I was excited and gave Gellers their own post the other day, but “Guatemala” deserves reposting. This is Shugo Tokumaru’s band with his childhood friends. As far as I can tell, they’ve been together long before Shugo started his solo career.

FACT- “error”

What’s the point of uploading a PV clip if you’re just going to put the whole thing up a few days later? Nothing special here. Another solid FACT song.

Penguin Villa- “Acrophobia”

Who doesn’t love penguins? Does Thailand have penguins? Nice animation.

EMPTY- “Aoi”

Another video I kind of talked about. Not the most exciting EMPTY song, but it’s nice and smooth in that lounge rock type of way. Trumpet!

Fruits Explosion- “Thanx”

Some bands are all about the sex.

2side1BRAIN- “Pray For You”

Thank you. I need all the prayers I can get.

MowMow LuLu Gyaban- “Hello!! Mr. Coke-High”

So this is what coke feels like. It’s so colorful, man.

Prof. Sakamoto- “Samurai”

Another space-themed PV. But with disco and 8-bit.

Cokehead Hipsters- “We Will Rock You”

The Hipsters will be releasing a full album of classic rock covers. Now I want to watch The Mighty Ducks. Or Space Jam.

the band apart- “photograph”

This PV looks a lot like my image header lol.
