NICO Touches the Walls

June 8, 2008

May I direct you to NICO Touches the Wall’s new single “The Bungy.” I can’t find a video for it so I had to upload the song to the Box.net player a la derecha.  It has a nice bluesy guitar riff that sounds rather similar to “Sea Lion” by Fiest.  Also, handclaps galore.  This is my first time listening to NICO but they’re officially on my download radar.

note: I love this album cover.

Updates, etc.

March 16, 2008

The last day of Spring break I realize that I haven’t accomplished much. It’s ok though I didn’t expect that I would. This morning I noticed that I haven’t added any new songs to the box player since last November. I decided to upload two songs with a theme, chick singers. I’ve posted about midori before, you’ll either love them or hate them. Very loud screaming vocals over jazz piano. Mass of the Fermenting Dregs is a little calmer, shoegaze band similar to Luminous Orange.

where’d you go I miss you so

September 12, 2007

Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately.  Still trying to figure out how to effectively get schoolwork done in-between my hell of a commute and work.  Both my internet browsers at home are having major problems as well and I don’t always have time to check out the library at school.  On the other hand I just noticed this is my 100 post!  I didn’t think I’d last this long.  I don’t really have anything else to share so new song in the BOX player, “World Has Collided” by The Lovesong.  I’ll try to post some actual news tomorrow morning.

Introducing Box.net Widget!

April 25, 2007

This begs the question…what’s in your box?  I have took the opportunity and uploaded a box.net widget into the sidebar which you can find to the right of the screen.  You can think of it as “Jrock Radio.”  I will periodically add and delete files.  Currently you can find the Beat Crusaders, Vola & the Oriental Machine, Plus-Tech Squeezebox, and Enie Meenie.  I have not yet decided if they’ll be a rotation of sorts (monthly, weekly, etc.) so listen to them while you still can!
