J-Rock Fridays Vol. 58

November 11, 2011

What’s up.

Gekitetsu- “P.S.”

Zombie party! Who knew zombies could rock or do calisthenics. A little late for our “Halloween” column but it’s still Walking Dead season.

blgtz- “Ideology”

Life is one big pie to the face. Suck it up and enjoy the whipped cream.

JANGA69- “Pink Monster”

Impressive Stars Wars collection! I have several of those figures…out of the box of course. I play with my toys.

The Cigavettes- “My Girl”

Someone likes The Beatles. New song from their split with Holidays of Seventeen and Quattro.

KEYTALK- “Sympathy”

I can’t deny your la la la la la. Lend me some sugar. I am your neighbor.

Nine Ideas- “Get Some Emotion”

Gon get it son!

PAN- “Strong Z”

ABC, as easy as Z好調.

This Morning Day- “A Signal of Good Night”

More like This Evening Night! Sweet dreams.

golf- “Rules”

Do you know the rules of golf? Sounds like a sludgy Gorillaz track.

Balloon- “Friend”

Awesome PV length typography Balloonman. We are friends!

Missiles- “High School Girl”

Finally, a visual band that just wants to sing about high school girls. Fetish.

Sayaka Kushibiki- “AOR”

A new Japanese version of “AOR,” which is also the title track of her debut album produced by Chabe aka Cubismo Grafico. I think I prefer the English version from her split single with Toru Hidaka and friends. I miss the “over boiled pasta” line. Still cute.
