October 15, 2010Another posted-after-work edition of J-Rock Fridays. I’m sorry I spent my afternoon at the new Salvation Army by my house. Is anyone else creeped out by the black men in red suits? They were ALL OVER THE PLACE. Except they couldn’t be nicer. They literally ran to open the door for me and my mom. Hm. Looks like the next J-Rock Fridays column falls just in time for Halloween Super Fun Time. Post your favorite “masked” bands/videos in the comments and I will probably add them. I promise not to post too many Beat Crusaders videos!

Ohohohohooh your “ohohohohoohs” sound so good. But if you’re going to name yourselves after a popular western catchphrase I recommend not spelling your name out in Japanese, thanks!

Second PV from the electro-rap duo’s second album. I think we’ll all need therapy after watching this video.

Nano sound museum has that electronic-rock sound down pat.
Kaminarigumo- “Afraid”
Another PV from their upcoming debut album produced by Sawao Yamanaka of the pillows. I must say their vocalist sounds a lot like Mr. Yamanaka in this single.

These emo boys are 100% nuts for highway traffic.

Looks like these guys dropped the pop-punk act since the last time I featured them on J-Rock Fridays. It’s okay I can dig melodic hardcore too.

Crystal Lake- “Twisted Fate”
Crystal Lake are so brutal. They’re a dangerous group.
ALICE Pack- “New Horizons”
Their is a light at the end of this screamo tunnel. ALICE Pack ends this week with a very pretty instrumental tune.
