edit: Is it just me or does this remind anyone else of the old Fox Family show S Club 7? A group of seven young British hipsters take their pop group to America in hopes of making it big. I USED TO HAVE ALL THEIR ALBUMS. *sigh* good memories.

As the title suggests, don’t expect a lot of news this week. It’s not that I don’t have any to post, I’m just crushed with massive amounts of homework again. In fact I have more recommendations to post than ever. You’ve probably noticed my sporadic posting; I’ll have upwards of 5 posts one day and nothing for the next week or weeks. So sit tight I guess. I know I have some other emails to answer but I have to finish up these papers for class first.
In the meantime, Happy Halloween!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted about any J-rap (well ok I never have). Here is Shing02’s new video for “Ultimate High.” You may remember him from “Battlecry,” the Samurai Champloo theme song.

Versus the Night has posted two “new” old songs on their myspace player. “Peace Out Girl Scout” is from their final EP So This Is Goodbye and “Johnny Alpha Is Dead” from their album There Is No Such Place As Away. Versus the Night parted ways last year.

Pistol Valve’s Tsunamic Girls From Tokyo is now available through JapanFiles. They are a 10-member all-female brass band who made were seen at this year’s SXSW festival. Remember, you can still order the cd from CD Baby.
